Welcome to the Personal Trainer Program, available at our Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, school. Here you’ll learn real-world skills to qualify for entry‐level positions in the fitness training industry. The classes and curriculum found in our Personal Trainer Program are designed to teach you the specific skills required by the industry. This school will educate you on the different types of fitness training, client fitness assessment, anatomy and kinesiology, nutrition, weight management, biomechanics, focused communication/cueing techniques and more. Personal trainers are trained professionals who coach and educate their clients through various workouts that focus on strength, cardiovascular endurance and flexibility. By first determining their clients’ fitness goals, our trainers are able to develop an effective exercise program and lifestyle suggestions tailored to their clients’ unique needs.
WHICH FITNESS TRAINING SKILLS WILL I LEARN?
- Meet with clients to assess and document needs and expectations
- Monitor fitness progress as related to goals
- Develop individual and group training sessions
- Screen clients to address and correct body mechanics and form to prevent injury
- Design safe programs for movement, strength and aerobic training
- Understand basic principles of diet and nutrition for weight loss and performance goals
- Understand and identify sports injuries and how to modify workouts
- Demonstrate usage of exercise equipment
- Demonstrate the appropriate technique for completing exercise movements

Easy to reach from both I-35 and I-240, our Oklahoma City campus is adjacent to the Plaza Mayor and features both a student resource center and a lounge along with 24 distinct instructional areas and classrooms.
As students prepare for their healthcare career, they often study in simulated, real-life settings including a therapeutic massage clinic and an esthetics salon that are open to the public, two X-ray labs, two medical assisting labs, a pharmacy lab, three computer labs, a surgical lab, an instructional gym for personal training students, and a veterinary technician lab.
